So, I was up late last night and (in the spirit of the holiday) thinking about and giving thanks for various events and people in my life. I thought of you during this and the place you held in my life. It's been a while but we used to share many a late night talk/rant/cry/laugh (some nights all of them). That friendship is a part of me, good times and bad. It has influenced who I am today, and while that person may be far from my goal, those past days will continue to help me step towards it. Our friendship definitely had its ups and downs but I suppose that's life. I can sincerely say that a part of my life is better for knowing you. So, one of the events I am thankful for is your birth.
I hope your birthday is a happy one for you.
