Okay. I'm officially giving up.

If you didn't get a thank you for something you sent me for Christmas, I never got it. For some reason, the post office *this* year didn't want to deliver anything that may have been sent to my pen name instead of my real name, apparently. It's never been a problem before, but whatever. -_-

As far as I can tell though, nothing got sent *back* though. This makes me want to scream and say, "Where is the stuff my friends spent their time, effort, and money on?" I'm so frustrated. But, a month (or month and a half for some of it) is just too much to hold out hope for. The packages are *gone*.

I'm going to step outside and hate on life for a while. I'm sorry. I did get some wonderful things from some people, but I kept holding out on making a huge public post until I got everything...and it never happened.

Personally? I'm never trusting the post office again. The extra money spent on UPS will be worth it to get a tracking number and people who know what they're doing. Count that a lesson learned.

In better news, my hair is blue now. Not a perfect job, but my mom is an idiot. Martin will touch it up for me later, but I want to give my hair a little chance to recover before we do that. Yay for pampering my hair! ^_____^ Boo for blond patches my mom missed. ;_;

I've been having that problem lately with the post office, too. They didn't want to deliver something to me earlier because it was addressed to a different name than they had on record, and my mom had to call them and bitch them out to get them to deliver it. :\ Stupid post office.

I don't even know who to call. We get nothing but bad attitude when trying to deal with the post office around here. We've got the last names to be delivered to our address clearly marked, and that was good enough when we moved in, but I don't know what's going on now. The whole thing gives me a headache.

[snugs] What post office do you usually go pick things up at? I'd take a guess that it might be the one on Apache near McClintock, since that's the one I go to when they're all "grar no we will not deliver, come pick it up, bitch." That's who I'd call, ask if they have any packages lying around for your address because you were expecting several things that were never delivered.

I actually have *no* idea. All I know is it's *not* the one nearest to our house. We had to go there *once* and Martin is the one who did it. He gets *super* growly about it when we talk about it, because they were so rude to him. When he did go there, back in December, he gave them my pen name to look for stuff for, and they claimed not to have anything. I asked him about that just a bit ago. So, I'm at a loss.

That sucks. Maybe you should try the one that's closer just to make sure? I don't know. :\ I'm all out of suggestions, really

I went to the web site and inquired there. I feel like an idiot for not thinking about that sooner. ~headdesk~

That just SUCKS. A lot.
Try calling the Post Office and talking to the manager. If that doesn't work, try the regional office and talk to that manager.

Good luck...

The post office had a terrible track record this Christmas. And over the past year or so, I've had half a dozen SWC pin recipients not receive their pins. I have never gotten a single one of those packages returned to me, either.

I've always been surprised, I've never had a problem with stuff being delivered that didn't have my full name on it, or was simply addressed to Star Wars Chicks. But then again, we always get the neighbor's mail and the previous two tenants mail (we've lived there for 3 years now).

As for contacting the post office, you should be able to contact a regional customer service agent, and while they may not be able to locate your mail, they should at least be nice enough to listen to your gripes, since that is their job.
