Just got back from Harry Potter.

I'll just say I enjoyed it thoroughly, and M came out of it without anything to bitch about...for once. ^_^

The Tam is pleased. (I missed a cool scene, though, because I had too much soda. ;_; Dang it...)

How did they do in this one about getting enough in to explain it to someone who hasn't read the books? The hubby was really clueless after GOF because they just left so much out. He's only seen the movies, and the longer the books get, the less makes it into the movies, and the less sense the movies make.

We'll go see it regardless, I'm just curious. Glad you liked it!

And dude! Why haven't I found an HP icon I like yet?? (I love yours, btw)

There are awesome HP icons here. That's where I got all of mine. ^_^

They changed parts of the story slightly to fit screen time, but it actually worked instead of feeling choppy, I think. I can't really tell. Sitting in the theater seemed longer than two and a half hours, though, because I sat there and remembered reading the book as much as watching the movie. To do the books justice, they'd really need to do a miniseries, each. So, I suppose you'll have to tell me if this one was choppy and didn't make sense, but where I was sitting it was the best one yet and made more sense even if they had to leave a lot out.

Well dang. It seems you've already yanked all the good ones. (Or someone else I know did...) I don't like being an icon copycat. Thanks anyway.

And your review is comforting. I didn't know how long it was, so it's good to hear that. There are some movies that I really am willing to sit that long for, because any shorter and they just have to chop them to hell. OotP is one hell of a long book! It's my favorite though, so I'm looking forward to the movie. *shrug* If anything confuses the hubby, I'll just explain as usual. (It's not like I could convince him to read the silly books or anything... :-p)

Oh hooray! We had a long day yesterday driving down to Jay's worksite and doing paperwork. So we are going to see it today.

I'm sure M will find something to bitch about later.

*hugs*

Oh, yeah, Goblet was SO bad at the beginning. . .I watched it, and said "You have to read the book for this to make any sense at all!" But this is two reviews of it I've read so far, from friends I trust. . .So off I go! (sometime after the 23rd. . .DH is off to DC for training. . .:'()
